We have an active patient participation group at our practice.
The PPG (Patient Participation Group) is a group of patient volunteers who work with the Practice to facilitate and promote the services to offered to patients.
They aim to help patients understand and access the services offered by the Practice , involving them in consideration of any changes provided by or commissioned by the Practice.
They aim to provide a forum in which to discuss and develop the most effective health services for the local population.
How long has the Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice had a PPG?
The PPG for the Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice was established in March 2015. We currently have 22+ member, representing approximately 10100 patients across the two surgeries.
Would you like to have a say in how this surgery operates?
The PPG is your forum for liaising with the practice about any issues which affect the provision of health care to patients. Membership is open to anyone registered with the practice and registration slips can obtained from the surgery.
There is a PPG noticeboard in each surgery which contains information about the objectives of the group, the terms and conditions of membership, dates and times of meetings, agendas, minutes from meetings and details about other relevant health issues. Membership registration slips are attached to the board for your convenience.
The chairperson for the group Is Marilyn Black.
The practice representative to this group is Carol Cormack.
The PPG is keen to encourage people to join our group and particularly those of you in the younger age group would be very welcome. If you would like to join the PPG but cannot make it to the surgery to collect a form, then you can email the chiarperson on: chairhawppg@gmail.com.
